Stalked by Beckham

Watch out for the man below he follows people around the world!

It was only a matter of time, but since we moved from California in August, now apparently Beckham wants to follow us to Milan.

News of him joining Milan brought down the AC Milan website and switchboard on Thurs  http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=927699

Beware he might start following you as well!

Truffle (Tartufo)

As I may have mentioned due to renovations going on at our apartment in Milan we've been staying out in Volpedo in Alessandria the past couple of weeks.  Which meant a long commute back and forth each day, leaving before 7 and getting back 9ish so not much time to go around Milan and post interesting stuff.

However currently is hunting season which is a highlight for two reasons in my view - truffles and wild boar! Pic of risotto with black truffle below

Liguria Coast

Great weekend on the coast in Luguria last week, below photo from the new port in Varazze of the beaches which were still getting quite a bit of sun and was around 26 degrees celcius.

On Saturday took a walk down to Cogoleto the next village around a 8k walk, fuel was provided by the 'bombolone con crema' suprisingly light with fresh cream that you need to eat in 30mins before the cream gets 'old' - pic below

On Sunday we relaxed in Varazze in the new port area which houses some amazing yachts & had lunch in the sunshine, lets see how cheap the boats go in the new financial crisis but didn't stop Silvia picking out the yachts she wants next year - eek!

Exams, Inauguration & lessons from Karate Kid

So apologies for the delayed posts, been a busy week or so, in the last week I’ve taken my first real three exams (GMAT aside)  in 9 years or so.  I took pre-course exams in Financial Accounting, Quantities Methods & Economics that if nothing else got me used to taking exams again.

We also had the official inauguration of what they call the MBA-34, the course involving lots of speeches by the dean and director of the course followed by drinks & dinner.  The clip below was included as an example of what the course is all about – will we be washing cars? Lets wait and see.
